New York City photographer, Caroline P. Digonis, has been capturing the images and events throughout the city for over a decade. At an early age, her interests in photography were nourished within her family environment attending performances at the Metropolitan Opera, Carnegie Hall, Museums, and the various venues that can be found throughout the city.
Among her most famous photographs of opera personalities includes Luciano Pavarotti’s farewell performance to opera worldwide, Placido Domingo’s premiere performance in Cyrano de Bergerac, Charles Anthony’s 50th anniversary at the Metropolitan Opera, Salvatore Licitra debut at the Met, and Mirella Freni’s gala anniversary at the Met.
Her architectural photography of New York City has graced dozens of covers, websites, and brochures, from Stagebill and Playbill publications, to the Met Opera's seasonal brochures and pamphlets. Other highlights included the Celebration of the 100th anniversary of George Gershwin at Carnegie Hall, the JVC Jazz Festival, The Mac Awards, Sirius Radio Network, and the permanent display of her images in the sales offices and model homes for the Toll Brothers, America’s Luxury Home Builders. Her photography was also chosen for two special memorial 911 covers for the Metropolitan Opera.
Recent highlights include the display of her photography of the Met Opera’s famed chandeliers for Swarovski in the introduction of the Maria Callas Exhibit. Pentagram Designs has also chosen her images to represent the signage of award-winning graphic designer and artist Paula Scher. She has also covered red carpet events and award ceremonies.
